Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It’s a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the College Board. The SAT serves as an important metric for measuring a high school student’s readiness for college, providing universities with a common data point to compare applicants.
Exam Pattern
- The SAT evaluates prospective college students math, reading, and writing skills.
- There are two main SAT sections: Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW).
- EBRW comprises a Reading test and a Writing and Language test.
- SAT Math is split into two subsections: a no-calculator test and a calculator test.
